The Department of Information Systems is respinsible for:

• the support of data center application services of the University
• the user-level support of employees of Governance of the University
• help-desk support for users of the Governance
• the IT support of Supplies Department

The Department of Networks & Telecommunications is responsible for:

• designing and overseeing the upgrade of voice and data transmission network
• support of the existing data network backbone and local networks in each building
• the cooperation with other educational institutions to connect the Ionian University in Greek network of educational institutions (GUnet)
• the support of the university servers
• the support on issues of network computers that are connected to the network
• the organization and support of the domain ionio.gr the Ionian University
• the support of all members of the university community on networks
