20 Years D.F.L.T.I. - Festschrift

20 Years D.F.L.T.I.

This volume has been published by the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting (DFLTI) of the Ionian University to celebrate its twentieth anniversary. It is divided in three Units (Translation-Language, Literature, Culture-Geopolitics, International Relations, Political Science). The Translation unit comprises papers from the Department's colleagues as well as from translation studies scholars both in Greece and abroad. The contributions under Units 2 and 3 concern a number of scientific fields, which are taught in the DFLTI and considered necessary for the translator's formation. This Festschrift has a dual aim: to demonstrate the inter-scientific character of translation and to contribute to scientific discourse, opening communication channels with Greek and foreign scholars in the field of Translation Studies.

IONIOS LOGOS

IONIOS LOGOS – SCIENTIFIC PERIODICAL PUBLICATION, 3RD VOLUME
This volume is dedicated in memory of Evi Olympitou

DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY – IONIAN UNIVERSITY, Corfu 2011

Ionios Logos, together with the other publications of the Ionian University, and in conjunction with the already significant number of international and Greek conferences that are held, is the outcome of a wider policy of extroversion of the Department and of a collective opening to scientific discourse. With this periodical publication, the Department of History aspires to leave its own mark on the scientific community of historians and to establish Ionios Logos as a medium for expression and communication, as well as a vehicle for the promotion of ideas and of historical knowledge.

The 3rd volume is dedicated by the members of the Department of History in memory of their colleague, Evi Olympitou.
