Call for Panel Proposals

ECDL 2009 invites panel proposals aiming to create a forum for the discussion of crucial issues concerning the future of digital libraries and the development of digital societies, which are the main topic of the conference.

Panel proposals should provide sufficient information to judge the importance, quality, and benefits for the research community.

Each panel should have one chair and an international group of panellists. Proposals should be 2-3 pages long and should provide the following information:

1. Title of the proposed panel.
2. Names and full addresses, including home page links and contact details as well as a brief description of the panel chair’s and panellists’ experience and background in the panel topic.
3. A brief description of the panel topic and goals, its relevance to ECDL 2009 and significance for the research field.
4. A description of the target audience, areas from which the participants are expected to come, number of expected participants.
