Grand Island Bus Tour

Starts from resort and heads to the picturesque fishermen’s village of Kouloura. At this point, the distance between Corfu and Albania is only 2 miles. Close by is Kalami, where the famous British author, Lawrence Durell lived two blissful years before the war.

We continue passing through Nissaki, Ipsos and Dassia, to the Venetian –and English influenced Corfu town.

After a short exploration of the town, we head for Kanoni, from where we enjoy the famous view of the mouse island, Corfu’s landmark and the Vlacherna convent.

The tour resumes with a visit of the Achilion Palace, built by the Empress Elisabeth of Australia.

Visit of the museum dedicated to her from the Kaiser Willheim II and view of the gardens and statues.

From there, we go to Paleokastritsa, the most popular and picturesque area of the island. Visit of the 13th century Greek Orthodox Monastery (there will be plenty of time for lunch, swimming or boat trips).

A half hour’s drive away from Corfu, Paleokastritsa rightly claims a high position in the beauties of the Mediterranean. It has two peninsulas and six small bays. The north peninsula belongs to the monastery of our Lady built at the top in 1225 and enjoying breathtaking views. There is a museum with some rare icons. There is time for the sea lovers to either swim or visit the caves.

Thick woodland, sharp cliffs sandy beaches and crystal clear waters compose an unforgettable beauty which can be best appreciated from Bella Vista. This is a famous spot at the top of the rocks, which can be reached along a winding road through the picturesque village of Lakones. One deserves to take a little time to absorb the beauty!

Departing from the harbor of Corfu, we have a unique view of the old town, situated among the two Venetian fortresses. Sailing towards the south of Corfu we see the Kanoni peninsula and the palace of Mon Repos where Prince Phillip was born.
