The academic year runs from September 1st of each year to August 31st of the following year, and is divided into two independent semesters. The first one (Winter Semester) starts in late September and ends in the first half of February, whereas the second (Spring Semester) starts in the second half of February and ends in late June. In any case, the exact dates are set by the Ionian University Senate and are posted on the Department’s website, together with the national and religious holidays.
